Jackson Montgomery

Jackson Montgomery

Born into a wealthy family with a silver spoon shoved in his mouth, Jackson Montgomery grew up in a world of privilege, power, and deceit… a real-life game of thrones. He attended the finest schools of which groomed him for a career in politics from a young age. The expectation was for him to bring forward the legacy of his family name through history. His parents, expecting him to follow in their footsteps, always guiding him in the direction they wanted, while cleaning up any messes Jackson made along the way. Jackson didn’t disappoint-on both fronts, eventually becoming a successful politician in Montana. I would like to say that this is where Jackson turned over a new leaf, served his people, and did what was right for the common good, but that would come with time. For Jackson, this wasn’t his moment. As some politicians do, he philandered, feeding his hedonistic passions for money, power, and women. He used his position to enrich himself and those closest to him.

In high school, college, and then later on Wall street, Jackson developed a reputation for business acumen and ruthlessness. Like a shark swimming in an ocean of greenbacks, he always was the best fed fish in the pond. Jackson’s natural charismatic nature, business savvy, and ruthlessness made him sought for advice by other students, politicians, and entrepreneurs. And they paid him handsomely for his time, ideas, and connections. An excellent public speaker, and a master manipulator, Jackson presented a comedic softer side that always served him well. Laughter became his social lubricant. His sense of humour, quick wit, and sharp mind gave him an edge when meeting new people or getting himself out of situations (mostly by his own doing) that required a silver tongue. As a shrewd investor who may or may not have had access to insider trading, Jackson made a fortune in real estate and tech stocks, often making a killing where other men in his position had lost it all.

For years, Jackson had been involved in numerous scandals for his immoral behaviour, but he stayed out of trouble by weaseling his way out of each situation. Often, he did this by deflecting blame to others to shoulder any accountability on his behalf. Hardly known for being a world class human being, Jackson’s life eventually took a turn when he fell into an illicit affair with an escort, someone he got to know intimately during his time trading with JP Morgan. One day, she came to him with news that their relationship of two had now become a complicated situation of three and that in less than nine months, Jackson’s world was going to change. Not sure what to do, he resisted every urge telling him to solve the problem the way he always had and embraced the changes to come. The year blew by and with his re-election fast approaching, time quickly became a luxury he didn’t have. Born on the same day as the final vote count, Jackson had to make the choice between being in the campaign office for the last hours of the vote count or being at his wife’s side. Knowing Jackson’s story, I’m sure you can guess the choice he made, but you could be wrong.

Sometimes the hardest steps to change are the first ones, and when Jackson got word that his daughter was on the way, nothing could stop him from being there for the moment. Storming out of the campaign office, he drove like a madman on a mission. Speeding and running lights, nothing would stop him from making it to the moment. Born April 3rd at 11:56 PM, this was when his world changed, and when Jackson held her in his arms for the first time, something inside him broke loose. Looking into the big blue eyes of his baby girl, he made a promise to her. A promise that he would change his ways, review his morality, and fight the corruption that he helped create for so many years. Now running for a seat in the Senate, his platform focuses on morality and ethics in politics. Sometimes it takes a bad seed-turned-good to identify the problems with a broken system. In Jackson’s free time (between helping constituents, of course), he watches the talking points of other North American politicians, and by using his sense of humour, he provides a commentary on the outrageousness of their hypocrisy. Being one himself, it’s easy for Jackson to call a spade a spade, because he knows all the dirty tricks (inventing some of them), and he uses this knowledge to help protect the people from the self-serving pool of ideologues that perpetuate and exploit the Canadian and US political systems.

Never having to be accountable for, well… virtually anything, Jackson found himself in several scandals throughout college, including cheating on tests, DUI’s, and more. If there was trouble to get into, Jackson was likely leading the charge. His cavalier approach to life had always been fuelled by never having to face the consequences. With every mess being cleaned up by his father, his trust fund, or by his friends, Jackson avoided all punishment, whereas those less connected saw expulsion, and sometimes jail time. But some things can’t be bought. After years of flaunting his lifestyle and connections, eventually Jackson caught the eye of the FBI, who were investigating corruption and bribery allegations of some other prominent politicians (both on the Left and Right), of which Jackson was one. Although still under investigation, his changed ways have helped insulate him from the new avenues in the investigation. But he would be foolish to think he isn’t being watched, while powers in the shadows keep turning over stones to unearth what they need to put him behind bars. Will he finally pay the price for a selfish life led, or is this just an example of Jackson’s privilege and luck? Only time will tell if he can dodge another bullet.

Formative – Key Memories 🧠

It goes without saying that the birth of his daughter was the most single formative memory in his life, the one thing that broke the armour of selfishness he’s worn all this time. With one coo, that small baby made his heart feel things he had never felt before, and from that moment forward, he dedicated his life to this child and every other child. Swearing to protect and defend them from those that would seek to take from the next generation. Looking at his wife asleep in the hospital bed, he brought her in close, nestled his head against hers and whispered a promise in her ear, one that is known only to them.

In his free time, Jackson enjoys listening to and reading into what other politicians say and do, so he can provide commentary on it. He loves heckling Canadian politicians and engaging in public debates. He also enjoys fine dining, travelling, and golfing. As a cigar and cocktail enthusiast, he loves collecting antiques to add to his “man cave”, his preferred place to do business. This is where all the important conversations happen, away from the prying eyes or recording devices, cameras, and journalists. Many a night is spent reading over bills and reports, while sipping on a Whisky Ginger and listening to Bill Mahar’s club random, one of Jackson’s guilty pleasures.

In one of his late-night evening sessions, when Jackson would typically heckle Canadian politicians (one of his favourite past times), one particular commentator stood out. Known only as @FuzzyQube, he seemed to see the world the same way Jackson did, that too many politicians stopped caring about the people and cared only for those that got them elected. And this kid wasn’t scared to swing for the fences with his comments, something Jackson both appreciated and respected. Reaching out directly, they hit it off immediately. Now one of Fuzzy Qube Entertainments (FQE) lead political consultants, Jackson uses his talents to help FQE navigate the political bureaucracy that holds our fragile, broken system together with allusion, sophistry, and duct-tape.
